The
top is inlaid with shop-made cross banding. The Cherry inlay is
split and bent to match the curve of the table top. A matching leg cuff
inlay is applied to visually round out the table. |

The
top edge is dressed with a thumbnail cut to soften the look. On
the mahogany table the top was resawn and bookmatched. The inlay
is all Birdseye Maple. |
The
Halloran End Tables are made of Black Cherry with a Birdseye Maple top,
and one is made of Mahogany. The inlay is Cherry and Birdseye
Maple with Walnut borders. They are finished with linseed oil,
shellac, Waterlox varnish and paste wax. |
