The cabinet was made from a thick piece of timber, resawn down the thickness and mitered on each corner. This allows for a continuous grain pattern from corner to corner. The front doors were hinged on the miter, and upon opening pivot perfectly on the corner of the case. |
Made of Shorea, also known as Meranti. This was a commisioned piece designed as a meditation altar space. It is finished with boiled linseed oil, shelac and wax.
